Responsible Gaming
Gambling is entertainment you pay for, the same way you pay for a concert ticket. Some nights you get more back, most nights you don't, and the money you spend should be money you'd be fine never seeing again. This page is about keeping it that way, and about where to turn if it has already stopped being fun.
Controls Worth Setting on Day One
Every casino we review gives you account tools, and the best moment to use them is before your first deposit, while nothing is riding on the decision. A deposit limit caps how much you can pay in over a day, a week or a month. Loss limits and session reminders work the same way for losses and time. If you want a proper break, a time-out locks your account for a set period, and self-exclusion closes it for longer. Lowering a limit usually takes effect at once, while raising one comes with a waiting period, and that delay is there on purpose.
If you pay with Revolut, there's a second layer outside the casino. The Gambling Block in the Revolut app refuses every card payment coded as gambling, at any casino or bookmaker. Switching it on is instant. Switching it off takes 48 hours, which is often long enough for an impulse to pass. Blocking software such as Gamban can also stop gambling sites loading on your phone and computer.
One thing to know if you live in the UK: GamStop self-exclusion covers casinos licensed by the UK Gambling Commission. Offshore casinos sit outside that scheme, so if you've registered with GamStop, the casino's own self-exclusion and the Revolut block are the tools that reach them.
Signs It's Becoming a Problem
Problem gambling rarely starts with anything dramatic. It can look like chasing a loss with one more deposit, dipping into money meant for rent or bills, or playing longer than you told yourself you would. Other signs are quieter: hiding how much you spend from people close to you, feeling restless on days you don't play, or treating a session as a way out of stress rather than a bit of fun. None of this makes someone a bad person. It does mean it's time to step back and talk to someone.
Where to Get Help in the UK
The National Gambling Helpline, run by GamCare, is free and open 24 hours a day on 0808 8020 133, by phone, live chat or WhatsApp. BeGambleAware has self-assessment tools and advice, Gambling Therapy offers free online support in several languages, and the NHS runs specialist gambling clinics for people who need treatment.
Help in Your Country
This site has editions for players in many countries, so here is where to find help in each of them, in the language of that country. The legal age for online gambling is 18 almost everywhere listed, with two exceptions: Estonia sets it at 21, and in Canada it's 19 in most provinces and 18 in Alberta, Manitoba and Quebec.

Protecting Children
Online gambling is for adults only, and every casino we list asks for ID before a withdrawal. If children use your phone or computer, keep casino logins to yourself, lock the Revolut app with a PIN or face recognition, and consider parental control software that filters gambling sites.
